How do I know if my process is a good fit for automation?

A task is usually a good automation candidate if it's done on a schedule or triggered by an event, follows the same steps every time, involves moving or checking data, and doesn't need human judgement or creativity. If your team does the same task more than once a week and rolls their eyes every time, it's worth talking about.

Do I need to already be using Google Cloud?

No. I can set up a Google Cloud account for you as part of the project, or work within an existing one. The running costs for most small business automations on GCP are very low: often just a few dollars a month. I'll explain all costs upfront.

Can you connect my existing software (Xero, MYOB, Shopify, etc.)?

In most cases, yes. Popular Australian business tools like Xero, MYOB, Shopify, WooCommerce, Mailchimp, and many others have APIs I can connect to. If your software doesn't have an API, I'll tell you upfront and discuss alternatives. I assess this during the free discovery call.

What if something breaks after it's live?

I include a short warranty period after every deployment to fix anything I missed. Beyond that, our optional maintenance subscription covers ongoing monitoring, fixes when external systems change (which is the most common cause of issues), and priority support. You're never just left with code and no-one to call.

Is my data secure?

Yes. I build with security as a baseline, not an afterthought. That means using the principle of least-privilege access (services only get access to what they need), encrypted data in transit and at rest, and secure credential management via Google Cloud's built-in secrets tools. I'll walk you through the security setup as part of handover.

How long does it take to build an automation?

Simple automations (e.g., a trigger that sends an email or syncs a spreadsheet) can be live within a week. More complex workflows connecting multiple systems may take 2–4 weeks. I'll give you a realistic timeline at the scoping stage, and I don't start billing until you've approved the scope.

Do you work with farms and regional businesses?
